Locality commissioned services to support and improve health and wellbeing outcomes in the Cannock Chase District.

We've joined forces with three other local public sector organisations, including Staffordshire County Council, Cannock Chase Clinical Commissioning Group and Staffordshire Police (via the Police and Crime Commissioner) to combine our local funding streams into a single pot and to create a simple process to commission local services and projects.

We've called the process Locality Commissioning - the term ‘commissioning’ covers the procurement process from needs assessment to monitoring and evaluating the impact of services and projects.

The process is administered by the Locality Partnership Group (LPG)

The LPG oversees the distribution of grants and makes investment decisions on behalf of the Local Strategic Partnership Board using funds delegated to it by the public sector partners.

We hope the process will mean we will be able to fund a wider set of outcomes to benefit local people.

Wellbeing can mean many things to many people; good health, security, prosperity, success, comfort, welfare etc. and striving to improve wellbeing outcomes is more about influencing and improving the social, economic and environmental conditions of local communities. The Health and Wellbeing Strategy for Cannock Chase sets out the vision for achieving improved health and wellbeing outcomes through locality based delivery.

Improved outcomes are evident where partners come together with a shared view upon what needs to be done. This leads to the development of ‘Chase Better Health’ - pooled resources at locality level with a unified approach and commitment to outcome focussed commissioning where the needs are greatest, which will grow and flourish over time.

By seeking this unified approach (joint working, collaboration and integration) and a better alignment of individual service resources and delivery outputs, Chase Community Partnership, through locality commissioning, has resulted in the commissioning of the following providers who have delivered programmes that have had a positive impact on improving health and wellbeing outcomes for the local residents.

Chase Community Partnership seeks to thank the organisations listed above for their hard work in delivering successful projects. Current commissioned services and details on how to access them can be found below.  Click the logos for more information:
